- Develop and publish annual 'State of the Future' reports analyzing technological, social, and economic megatrends
- Design scenario-planning frameworks for 2026+ technological disruptions (AI, biotech, quantum computing)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into actionable innovation roadmaps
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions and R&D pioneers
- Present future-vision briefings to executive leadership and external partners
- Oversee the creation of Horizon's '2026 Innovation Index' benchmarking system
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Published research on exponential technologies or societal transformation
- Expertise in systems thinking, scenario modeling, and trend analysis methodologies
- Proven track record of translating future insights into commercial opportunities
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with horizon scanning tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
