Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) to develop strategic 5-year innovation roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional workshops to ideate and prioritize future-facing R&D initiatives
- Develop patent portfolios and IP strategies for breakthrough technologies
- Partner with product teams to integrate future capabilities into commercial roadmaps
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Monitor competitive landscapes and regulatory shifts affecting tech adoption
- Build relationships with academic institutions and research consortia
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership within tech or consulting
- Proven track record in launching at least 3 disruptive tech innovations
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certification in Technology Strategy or Innovation Management preferred
- Experience with scenario planning and futures methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills for complex technical concepts
- Portfolio of strategic technology documents or patents
