Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Analyze emerging tech trends (Web4.0, neuromorphic chips, decentralized networks) and assess commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align engineering, product, and executive teams on future visions
- Author strategic white papers on technological singularity implications and mitigation strategies
- Partner with venture capital arms to identify and integrate disruptive startups
- Represent company at global tech summits (CES, Web Summit, Foresight Conference)
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futures research
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, blockchain)
- Proven track record of translating future trends into actionable business plans
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., CFSP) or equivalent
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact assessment frameworks
- Portfolio of executed strategic initiatives with measurable outcomes
