As a cornerstone of our executive leadership team, you'll collaborate with R&D, product development, and market analysis divisions to ensure our technology portfolio not only meets current demands but anticipates future paradigms. You'll have direct influence on our $2B R&D budget and report directly to the Chief Innovation Officer.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic technology forecasting initiatives for 2026-2030 horizon, analyzing quantum computing, biotech convergence, and AI evolution
- Develop patent-worthy innovation frameworks by synthesizing global tech trends with market gap analysis
- Partner with venture capital arm to identify and integrate emerging startups into our ecosystem
- Present quarterly strategic briefings to C-suite and board members with data-driven future scenarios
- Build and manage a cross-functional Future Technology Lab with $500K annual prototyping budget
- Author thought leadership publications positioning InnovateTech as the industry's 2026 technology authority
- Oversee ethical AI governance and sustainable technology implementation frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with proven impact on Fortune 500 innovation roadmaps
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD strongly preferred)
- Published author or keynote speaker at major tech conferences (CES, Web Summit, etc.)
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies and technology adoption lifecycle models
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscape for emerging technologies (NIST AI Framework, EU AI Act)
- Portfolio demonstrating commercialization of at least two breakthrough technologies
- Fluency in Mandarin or Arabic for global market analysis (additional compensation for bilingual skills)
- Proficiency in advanced data visualization tools (Tableau, D3.js) and strategic modeling software
