Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections and regulatory landscapes
- Identify emerging technologies (quantum, neuromorphic, AGI) with disruptive potential through patent analysis and academic partnerships
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives bridging hardware innovation and software ecosystems
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board with data-driven risk/reward assessments
- Establish innovation pipelines through venture scouting and academic collaboration programs
- Drive ethical AI frameworks and sustainable technology adoption standards
- Lead thought leadership initiatives at global tech summits and publish industry whitepapers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Proven track record of launching at least two industry-defining products with >$100M impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with PhD preferred
- Deep familiarity with Gartner Hype Cycle and Delphi forecasting methodologies
- Expertise in ethical technology frameworks and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, emerging AI laws)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Published author or keynote speaker at 3+ major tech conferences (CES, Web Summit, etc.)
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools and patent analysis platforms
