Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and business objectives
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, biotech, AR/VR convergence)
- Architect innovation frameworks for ethical AI deployment and sustainable tech adoption
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-tech capabilities into customer solutions
- Present strategic technology visions to executive stakeholders and investors
- Manage $50M+ R&D portfolio with ROI-driven prioritization
- Build and lead cross-functional innovation pods (engineers, designers, futurists)
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching future-facing tech products/services
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Executive experience with $50M+ budget management
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism or innovation
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystems
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management preferred
