Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and organizational goals
- Lead research initiatives in emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, Web3)
- Partner with product teams to integrate future tech into commercial solutions
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for emerging domains
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and investors
- Manage innovation budgets and vendor relationships for R&D partnerships
- Author thought leadership content on future tech implications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy, R&D management, or emerging tech consulting
- Proven track record in developing future-focused technology roadmaps
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, blockchain)
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and investor groups
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies preferred
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategy
