Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market forecasts and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping emerging tech solutions (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biocomputing)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and assess commercial viability
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Drive innovation through competitive analysis, patent strategy, and ecosystem partnerships
- Oversee R&D budget allocation for breakthrough technology initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in forecasting tech trends (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation portfolios
- Deep understanding of technology adoption curves and market dynamics
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Published thought leadership in technology forecasting or strategy
