Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum, AI, biotech) to develop 5-year strategic roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on future tech priorities
- Conduct competitive landscape analysis and market opportunity assessments
- Develop ROI models for experimental technologies with 18-36 month horizons
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Manage external partnerships with research institutions and venture capital firms
- Author thought leadership content on technology futures for industry publications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation management
- Proven track record in emerging tech ecosystems (quantum, AI, Web3)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Strategy
- Expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Technology Foresight preferred
- Experience managing multi-million dollar R&D budgets
- Published author or frequent speaker at global tech conferences
