Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year strategic technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, neuromorphic computing)
- Conduct competitive analysis and scenario planning for disruptive tech adoption
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budgets through data-driven investment proposals
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Drive innovation through partnerships with leading research institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich)
- Mentor senior engineers and product managers on future tech integration
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record of scaling technology initiatives from concept to market
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, AR/VR)
- Exceptional analytical and scenario-planning skills with data-driven decision making
- Experience securing multi-million dollar R&D budgets
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., Foresight Practitioner)
