Responsibilities
- Anticipate technological disruptions and market trends through horizon scanning and scenario planning
- Develop and execute innovation roadmaps for emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with $5M+ annual innovation budgets
- Partner with C-suite to align technology strategy with 2026 business objectives
- Build and manage external innovation ecosystems with startups, academia, and VCs
- Translate complex technological concepts into actionable business strategies
- Present future vision to stakeholders and inspire organizational adoption
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or emerging tech R&D
- Proven track record in scaling breakthrough technologies from concept to market
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum computing, AR/VR, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Exceptional analytical skills with data-driven decision making
- Experience leading global cross-functional teams in matrix organizations
- Prior experience in venture capital, corporate innovation labs, or tech startups
- Published thought leadership in technology or innovation journals
