Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) with 2026+ applicability
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market projections
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future tech trends into actionable initiatives
- Establish KPI frameworks for measuring innovation ROI and technology adoption success
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs to secure first-mover advantage
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Monitor geopolitical/regulatory shifts affecting technology implementation horizons
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 experience
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business (MBA preferred)
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (e.g., neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Certified Futurist (CFP) or similar foresight methodology training
- Exceptional data modeling and scenario planning capabilities
- Published thought leadership in technology innovation journals
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets
