Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026+ technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in AI, biotech, and renewable energy systems
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Partner with C-suite to translate strategic visions into actionable innovation projects
- Secure $10M+ in venture funding and government grants for experimental technologies
- Present technology forecasts to Fortune 500 clients and industry consortiums
- Mentor a team of 15+ engineers and futurists through agile development cycles
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven track record launching 3+ category-defining tech products
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or advanced AI
- Published thought leadership in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier publications
- Fluency in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Security clearance or willingness to obtain government-level clearance
