Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligning with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate next-gen technologies
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum, biotech, AI) for commercial viability
- Develop strategic partnerships with academia, startups, and industry leaders
- Present innovation strategies to C-suite and investors
- Drive ethical technology frameworks for responsible innovation
- Secure and manage R&D budgets exceeding $15M annually
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning or innovation leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech
- Experience with futures forecasting and scenario planning
- Strong stakeholder management across technical and executive levels
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies preferred
- San Francisco Bay Area residency required
