Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year technology strategy aligning with 2026 market projections
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize emerging technologies (quantum, AI, neurotech, synthetic biology)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and venture teams
- Build patent portfolios and IP protection strategies for breakthrough innovations
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption ROI and market disruption metrics
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board members with data-driven insights
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with transparent resource allocation
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record commercializing disruptive innovations (portfolio required)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Certified Innovation Professional (CIP) or equivalent strategic credential
- Experience leading global teams across 3+ continents
- Publishing record in peer-reviewed technology journals or conferences
- Fluency in strategic forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
