Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 2026+ technology roadmaps aligning with business objectives and market trends
- Lead research and evaluation of emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, neurotech, etc.) for commercial viability
- Design and execute innovation sprints with engineering teams to prototype future-facing solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Build and manage a high-performing innovation lab with cross-disciplinary expertise
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Monitor global tech patents and research publications to identify breakthrough opportunities
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, quantum, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Deep understanding of technological convergence and exponential growth patterns
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets and cross-functional teams
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism or innovation management
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management (e.g., CFTE, CIFI)
