Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (quantum, neuromorphic, synthetic biology) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 5-year technology adoption roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional pilots and proof-of-concepts for futuristic solutions
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Present strategic insights to executive stakeholders and investors
- Build and manage a $10M+ innovation budget
- Author thought leadership reports on technological disruption
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ in emerging tech (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Proven track record of launching at least 3 market-defining technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering (PhD preferred)
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks for frontier technologies
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Experience managing R&D budgets >$5M
- Published author in top-tier tech journals (Nature, IEEE, etc.)
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python/Java/C++)
