Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026+ technology strategy roadmap aligning with business objectives and market disruption timelines
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams to prototype next-gen solutions
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies (quantum AI, neural interfaces, climate tech) and assess commercial viability
- Develop competitive intelligence frameworks and patent strategy for future tech dominance
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members with compelling data narratives
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget and vendor partnerships for emerging tech exploration
- Build and lead a Future Technologies Think Tank with industry influencers and academic partners
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech or innovation roles
- Proven track record of launching at least two market-defining technologies post-2020
- Expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or biotech convergence domains
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with technology focus
- Published thought leadership in future tech (patents, journals, or keynotes)
- Proficiency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets and cross-continental teams
