Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for quantum computing applications
- Lead prototyping cycles for neural interface hardware
- Coordinate with academic partners on sustainable AI frameworks
- Manage innovation pipelines with patent-focused IP strategy
- Present emerging tech forecasts to C-suite and investors
- Mentor junior researchers in speculative technology exploration
- Secure $2M+ annual R&D funding through grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computational Neuroscience, or equivalent
- 7+ years in emerging tech R&D with 3+ leadership roles
- Published research in Nature/Science journals (2019-2023)
- Proven track record of converting prototypes to commercial products
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic chips, or carbon-negative AI
- Strong familiarity with DARPA/NIH grant processes
- Active membership in IEEE or ACM futurist councils
