Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive technology roadmaps for 2026-2030, aligning with emerging market trends and scientific breakthroughs
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping disruptive technologies across AI, biotech, and clean energy sectors
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government labs, and Fortune 500 companies for collaborative innovation
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with transformative potential within 5-7 year timeframe
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and board members with data-driven insights
- Oversee $50M+ innovation budget allocation for high-impact R&D initiatives
- Represent company at global tech summits and industry shaping events
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years experience in tech strategy
- Proven track record of developing and scaling emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, or sustainable tech)
- Deep understanding of global tech policy, regulatory frameworks, and ethical implications of disruptive innovations
- Exceptional leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams across R&D, product, and commercial functions
- Published research or patents in future-tech domains (AI alignment, quantum applications, climate tech)
- Strong network within DARPA, NSF, or similar innovation ecosystems
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
