- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies through patent analysis and startup partnerships
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align technical capabilities with market opportunities
- Present strategic forecasts to C-suite and board stakeholders with data-driven insights
- Build and manage an external innovation ecosystem including academic institutions and venture labs
- Drive competitive analysis and scenario planning for disruptive technology threats
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership within Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of anticipating market shifts in at least one emerging tech domain
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies and patent landscape analysis
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $5M annually
