Responsibilities
- Design and implement forward-looking system architectures capable of supporting 2026+ technological requirements
- Lead integration of emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI/ML, edge computing) into existing frameworks
- Develop comprehensive roadmaps for technology evolution aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Conduct feasibility studies for futuristic systems, including sustainability impact assessments
- Mentor junior engineers and cross-functional teams on next-generation system design principles
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype and validate breakthrough system concepts
- Ensure architectural solutions meet security, scalability, and compliance standards for future regulatory landscapes
Qualifications
- 10+ years in enterprise architecture with 5+ years in emerging technologies or future-focused roles
- Expertise in cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Deep understanding of quantum computing principles, AI/ML integration, and sustainable tech
- Certification in TOGAF or SABSA with proven track record in strategic technology planning
- Experience with futuristic system simulations and predictive modeling tools
- Demonstrated success in leading complex, multi-year transformation projects
- Strong background in ethical technology frameworks and sustainable design practices
- PhD in Computer Science or equivalent with focus on future systems research preferred
