Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare accurate monthly financial statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.
- Process payroll and ensure strict adherence to federal and state tax regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
- Prepare and organize financial records for annual audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or Xero is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
