As a Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing insights that drive business decisions. Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and variance analysis to maintain fiscal integrity.
  • Prepare and issue monthly financial statements (Balance Sheets, P&Ls) for client review.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax packages, including 1099s and W-2s.
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts and fixed asset schedules.
  • Process payroll and ensure all payroll tax filings are completed accurately.
  • Assist with audit preparations and supporting documentation requests.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably within a CPA firm or corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Pro and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
  • Familiarity with Xero or other cloud-based accounting software is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies in financial data.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • High school diploma or Associate’s degree in Accounting/Finance required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
