Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations including FLSA, NJ wage laws, and local ordinances
- Manage garnishments, tax withholdings, and year-end reconciliations (W-2/1099)
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries within SLAs
- Collaborate with HR on benefits administration and time-off tracking
- Conduct internal payroll audits and maintain accurate payroll records
- Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platforms
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) preferred
- Strong knowledge of FLSA, NJ labor laws, and federal tax regulations
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions
