You'll work closely with HR and finance teams to resolve discrepancies and implement process enhancements. Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (FLSA, CA labor laws)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies through reconciliation audits
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and termination processing
- Implement payroll system upgrades and process improvements
- Generate payroll reports for finance leadership and external audits
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state compliance
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or comparable payroll software
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or QuickBooks Payroll certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws and tax regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with garnishment processing and tax form preparation
- Ability to work independently with flexible schedule requirements
