Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- Maintain and update the company’s general ledger accurately.
- Process payroll and ensure all payroll tax filings are completed on time.
- Organize and file financial documentation and records for easy retrieval.
- Assist the senior accounting team with tax preparation and year-end audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (prior experience is a plus but not required).
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) post-hire.
