Role Overview:
In this entry-level position, you will assist the senior finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will gain hands-on experience in core bookkeeping functions while working alongside experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry and reconciliation of bank statements.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system.
- Generate and analyze basic financial reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare and organize invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data.
- Basic computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is preferred but not required.
