Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to identify discrepancies.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and processing payments.
- Assist with payroll preparation and ensuring time sheets are accurate.
- Prepare and generate monthly financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with tax document preparation and filing support during tax season.
- Perform general clerical accounting duties and file documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables are a bonus).
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines.
