Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Records: Accurately maintain general ledgers and track daily transactions.
- Reconcile Accounts: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process Transactions: Handle accounts payable and receivable, including issuing invoices and processing payments.
- Assist with Reporting: Prepare and organize basic financial reports and spreadsheets for management review.
- Document Management: Organize and file physical and digital financial documents for easy retrieval.
- Support Closing: Assist the senior accounting team with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior bookkeeping experience is required. We value attitude and aptitude over past history.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy, specifically proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is preferred).
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
