Join Our Growing Finance Team as an Entry Level Bookkeeper
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Entry Level Bookkeeper to join our finance department in Columbus, Ohio. Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are recorded accurately and payments are made on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure all discrepancies are resolved and balances are correct.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain and update financial ledgers and databases with high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, including verifying time sheets and ensuring tax withholdings are correct.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, or internship experience is a plus.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a must) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity in financial documents.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaboration with team members.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
