Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, coding, and approval.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and issue payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer.
- Maintain and update the AP ledger and supporting documentation.
- Communicate with vendors regarding billing inquiries and payment status.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
