Responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly and quarterly accounting close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and analyze basic financial reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain organized and accurate digital filing systems for financial documents.
- Support the tax preparation process by gathering necessary documentation.
- Assist in the annual audit preparation and coordination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) is a plus but not required.
