We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry Level Accountant to join our growing finance team in Richmond, Virginia. Responsibilities
- Assist with Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Bank Reconciliation: Review bank statements against internal records to identify discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
- Month-End Close Support: Help prepare financial reports and assist with the closing of monthly accounting periods.
- Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in our database systems.
- General Ledger Support: Perform basic GL entry tasks and assist senior accountants with audit preparations.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: No prior professional experience required. Recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Must possess a meticulous eye for detail to catch errors in data entry and reporting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with the finance team.
- Integrity: High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive financial information.
