Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and within deadlines.
- Support the external audit process by organizing and preparing necessary documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of local and state tax filings and returns.
- Perform data entry and maintenance of the company’s accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite).
- Conduct basic financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internships and recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
