Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and filing systems.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing supporting schedules and reports.
- Prepare basic financial reports and spreadsheets for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and compliance filings.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding invoices and account status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups are a plus).
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn new software and accounting tools.
