Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial statements and general ledger accounts.
- Perform daily accounts payable and receivable tasks, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Support the annual audit process by organizing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to track financial data and generate reports.
- Prepare and file local, state, and federal tax reports as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently completing degree requirements).
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail with high accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Basic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
