Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliation of bank statements.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by gathering necessary documentation and assisting in financial reporting.
- Prepare basic financial statements and reports for management review.
- Maintain and organize filing systems for both physical and electronic documents.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings under the guidance of senior staff.
- Perform routine audits of expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (0-2 years of experience preferred).
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables and v-lookups).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Relevant internships or coursework in financial accounting are highly desirable.
