Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Assist with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Support audit processes by compiling documentation and responding to inquiries
- Process payroll and manage accounts payable/receivable cycles
- Contribute to budget forecasting and variance analysis projects
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel for data management
- Adhere to SEC regulations and industry-specific compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle)
- Understanding of GAAP principles and basic tax concepts
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- 1-2 years internship or part-time accounting experience preferred
