Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Support accounts payable/receivable operations and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis for financial discrepancies
- Assist in audit preparation by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) for transaction processing
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives for financial operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates welcome)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting fundamentals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and QuickBooks
- Attention to detail with high accuracy in numerical data handling
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach with analytical thinking
- 1-2 years of internship or academic accounting experience preferred
