Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
- Assist in month-end closing processes including journal entries and financial statement preparation
- Support audits by gathering documentation and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities
- Process payroll and ensure timely tax filings for federal, state, and local jurisdictions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems for enhanced efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 0-2 years of professional accounting experience (internships accepted)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (SAP/Oracle a plus)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail with high accuracy in numerical tasks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
