Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures including journal entries and reconciliations
- Support tax preparation activities by gathering documentation and maintaining compliance records
- Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting automation
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls
- Collaborate with senior accountants on special projects and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates welcome)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or academic experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations
