Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support audits by gathering documentation and preparing schedules for external reviewers
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and internal financial controls
- Contribute to budget preparation and variance analysis reports
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) for transaction processing and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 0-2 years of professional accounting experience or relevant internship
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
