Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage general ledger entries
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures
- Support tax preparation and compliance documentation for individual and business clients
- Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to GAAP standards
- Utilize QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software for data analysis
- Collaborate with senior accountants on client deliverables and special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- Basic knowledge of GAAP principles and accounting procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive problem-solving approach with willingness to learn
