Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial statement preparation under GAAP standards
- Support tax compliance activities, including sales tax filings and document preparation
- Conduct account analysis and variance reporting to identify financial discrepancies
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records with audit-ready documentation
- Collaborate with senior accountants on client financial reviews and advisory projects
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) for transaction processing and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of professional accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage)
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional numerical accuracy
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and tax compliance requirements
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines in a fast-paced environment
