Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures including journal entries and reconciliations
- Support audit preparations by compiling documentation and responding to inquiries
- Implement and improve financial controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to analyze budget variances and financial trends
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) to maintain digital financial records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or entry-level experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and basic accounting cycles
- QuickBooks or similar accounting software experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proactive problem-solving approach with ability to meet deadlines
