Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Director of 2026 Technology Roadmap to define the strategic architecture for our upcoming decade of innovation. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between current capabilities and the emerging technological landscape of 2026, specifically focusing on Generative AI, Quantum Readiness, and Autonomous Systems. You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers and strategists to build scalable, future-proof solutions that position Apex Future Systems as an industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the comprehensive 2026 Technology Strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the architectural design of next-generation software solutions, prioritizing scalability and security.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., LLMs, Edge Computing) to integrate into the 2026 roadmap.
- Collaborate with product management to translate 2026 vision into technical specifications and deliverables.
- Oversee the migration strategy to prepare legacy systems for the 2026 infrastructure overhaul.
- Manage a budget of $5M+ for R&D and technology adoption.
- Mentor senior engineering leads and foster a culture of continuous innovation.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership or strategic role.
- Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Kubernetes).
- Strong background in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Predictive Analytics.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformations and setting long-term technical visions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications in cloud architecture or strategic management are highly desirable.
