Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for senior management.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reconcile various accounts and prepare necessary adjusting entries.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support budgeting processes.
- Assist with external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
