Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned clients
- Manage accounts payable/receivable with precision and timeliness
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements weekly
- Process payroll and tax filings for small to medium businesses
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and journal entries
- Implement and maintain QuickBooks accounting systems
- Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as requested
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to meet daily deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Strong understanding of GAAP and NY tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous experience with daily pay structures preferred
