Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with the annual audit process.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and identify discrepancies.
- Utilize financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to track financial data.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA certification or active CPA candidate status is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
